GET RMC OUT OF BASKETBALL!
THERE IS NO REASON FOR RMC TO BE COMPETING AT THE UNIVERSITY LEVEL. BOTH TEAMS HAVE SET THE GAME BACK TO THE FIFTEENTH CENTURY, AND THIS DESIGNATION IS KIND. INDEED, IF THIS IS A MEASURE OF THE ATHLETIC PROWESS OF THE MILITARY, HOW IN HEAVEN’S NAME CAN CANADA EVEN PRETEND TO BE DOING ANYTHING POSITIVE IN AFGHANISTAN? GOD, TWO BASKETBALL TEAMS THAT CANNOT WALK, TALK, OR CHEW GUM. OR THAT CAN WALK, ALL THE TIME–THAT’S CALLED TRAVELING.
WHY NOT PUT THEM IN THE COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL LEAGUE, PLAYING JUNIORS.
THERE IS NO REASON FOR A TEAM LIKE THIS TO BE INVOLVED IN CIS COMPETITION.
PERIOD.
ONLY IF THE RMC BRASS DECIDE THAT THEIR SOLDIERY SHOULD IN FACT HAVE ANY KIND OF MIRROR IMAGE IN THE COLLEGE ATHLETIC PROGRAM. NO WONDER THE KIDS GET KILLED BY ROADSIDE BOMBS. THEY CAN’T JUMP, OR SHOOT……

(I received this note from an anonymous correspondent this afternoon…..following hard on the Queen’s loss to Carleton (15-0) and game tonight against RMC (0-14, soon to be 0-15, eh?)
–oh yes, the writer noted that Kevin Delude was the one exception as a superb hoopster for RMC in the last decade or two.
