Lost and found items
For items that may have been lost on JFK AirTrain or areas other than security checkpoint or plane, call Port Authority Lost and Found:
JFK airport Lost & Found Services:
(718) 244-4225
For items that may have been lost around and in the security check point, contact your airline.
This is not an official TSA lost and Found board The only way to contact the TSA is at their phone and leave a message.
This is a private website not connected with TSA or any other entity of the federal government.
I know that you are upset with losing your belongings, but make sure you know who the right people to contact are. Also check your airlines contract of carriage to see what is covered. They have changed their rules so many things that were covered are not covered in checked baggage.
It’s better to be safe than sorry.
And you should realize that by putting all your personal info out there in cyberspace you are putting yourself at some risk.

REf. # AHL LHRAI 17921
To whom it may concern,
my name is Barry Kowal.I have been trying to contact you since last Wednesday. On
August 18,2008 at Heathrow Airport I filed a claim with Global Baggage for two
lost bags (bar code 0098040950 and another bag but that is not now important).
Both bags were delivered to me in Berlin.Germany.However the bag (or big huge
green backpack) with the bar code 0098040950 had a small dark/light blue small
backpack (like the kind that children use to carry their books to school) inside
of it. This bag was not delivered.Even when the person from global baggage came
to deliver the bag I signed for the part of the bag I received but above it I
wrote “One bag missing”.On Sunday at check in for my 19:45 Air India flight
(AI112) from JFK to Heathrow they only allow you to check in two bags. But
I wanted to check in three bags so I put the small light blue/dark blue backpack
inside the huge big huge green backpack. There is no bar code on the small dark
blue/light blue backpack. One should note there were at least 10 magazines inside
the small dark blue/light blue backpack.More important to me was that there were
also some very important papers inside the small dark blue/light blue backpack.
There are three possible scenerios of what could have happened. The first one
I hope is not the correct one. Some could have stolen the backpack.
I hope one of the other two scenerios are the correct one. The small dark
blue/light blue backpack was packed at the very top of the huge green backpack
and was secured at the top by just a string. Possibly while in transit the string
could have loosened and the small dark blue/light blue backpack could have fallen
out of the bigger backpack. If that is the case then the small backpack should be
located at either JFK,Heathrow or in Delhi.Although I departed the aircraft at
Heathrow in order to catch another flight to Berlin, Delhi was the ultimate
destination for flight AI112.The final scenerio is that after I filed my claim for
the big green backpack and the backpack was located (with the small light blue/dark
blue packpack inside). Then possibly the smaller light blue/dark blue backpack
fell out of the green back pack somewhere between where the big green back was first
located and where it was delivered to me in Berlin.
I really need to find this bag.The magazines I really don´t care about
but there were some very important papers in that bag that I must have. Please try to
find this bag and deliver it to me at the address that Global baggage has on file
(in Berlin,Germany) as soon as possible. Currently, I am in Poland.
Sincerely,
Barry Kowal

why would you put extremely important papers in checked luggage? it is well known that luggage can always get lost or misplaced. Never put items that are particularly vauable to you in checked luggage if its not neccessary. A very valuable bottle of champaigne, for instance, could not be brought onto the aircraft with you due to regulations of liquid so that would be another story, but papers - pbviously - can be brought onboard in your carry on. I do not mean to make you feel worse about your situation, but for the future/in general, you should not have put papers that were, or so you make them seem, so extremely important, in checked luggage.

Hello, I lost a painting that I was carrying as cabin baggage at or around TSA domestic checkpoint at Terminal 3(Delta) about 7.45 AM on Aug 25th after clearing customs. I arrived on Aug 25th at gate 4 on Delta 17 from Mumbai. The painting is rolled like a large sheet of paper and held by rubber bands (like a hollow pipe). It is a painting of several horses running against a pastel background, about 2′ by 1.5′. If anyone has any knowledge please call me at 2146757868 or email me at rhaldar@ymail.com. Thank you so much in advance.

I am 13 years old and i was returning from my first trip to europe when i left my black samsung S730 Digital camera on the plane. This was when i got off at JFK airport. i really dont care about the camera, but the SD memory card is especially important to me as it was one of the few things that had sentimental value to me. It was lost on the 23rd of August, on Delta flight Dl97, coming from Edinburgh. My seat number was 28F and i beleive my camera fell onto the floor of the plane. If you looked through the pictures, there would be some of gravestones, some spires, a couple pictures of some friends of mine, and also there would be a few videos plus a picture of a kid showing the food in his mouth. I had contacted a delta employee who made some calls to see if it had shown up in lost and found but with no results. I also called the delta baggage info but they said that none had shown up and to call tomorrow. Please if you have any information or are in possession of the camera, please contact me at 1-360-268-0907 or at Isaacyi@comcast.net. I can reward you with the cost of the camera.

Arrived in JFK airport on Delta Flight DL97, 23rd of August, around 2:00 Pm from Edinburgh and i was sitting in seat 28F and i think i left behind a black samasung s730 digital camera with a black integral 1gb micro sd card with adapter. even if only the sd card was returned, that would be greatly appreciated, as those photos were one of the few things that had sentimental value to me. As soon as i realized i had lost them, i contacted a delta employee and they called to see if it had been returned to lost and found but with no success. if found please call 1-360-268-0807 or contact me at isaacyi@comcast.net or Xector@live.com. Thank you very much.

I believe I lost my Canon EOS digital camera at JFK yesterday either at security or it may have been left on a plane. We flew American Airlines from London to New York and then from New York to San Diego. REWARD…I care most about the digital memory card in the camera and if I could get that back, there would be a reward. Please e-mail me if you know anything…I don’t care so much about the camera as I do about the card which has our vacation pics on it.

Hi,
I was on a American Airlines flight from Montego Bay Jamaica (MBJ) to JFK on Monday August 11, 2008. The flight arrived JFK around 11:00 PM. Myself and family sat in row 12C, 12D, 12F and 12G. I left the camera either in the seat pocket in front of our row or somewhere in the seats.
I contacted the lost & found at JFK and found out that the same plane was on it’s way to San Juan Puerto Rico on the morning of August 12, 2008.
I really don’t care about the camera but the pictures we took on our vacation are very sentimental as my 3 year old daughter took pics with her ailing grandfather, her grandmother and her sister and father who lives in Jamaica. I also had pics on there from my brother’s memorial. I just need/want the disk from the camera with these pictures - PLEASE.
There are pictures on there that we took at Rick’s cafe in Negril so if you come across this camera it’s a black Kodak M1033 please keep the camera but contact me with the SAN card/disk. Even if you upload the pictures through the Kodak website and send me the link or anyone of those websites and contact me so that I can retrieve the pictures from there. My number is 203 912-0278 and my e-mail is mlappots@aol.com
Thank you.

I am trying to locate a woman whom has worked for JFK for quite some time. This woman has helped my boss to find a particulary important item of his he came very close to losing and had it not been for this older woman doing a such a wonderfully, kind deed, he’d no longer have his belonging in his possession. We’d like to thank this woman; yet, have no idea how to find her. She is an African-American woman, aged approximately 70 years old and I believe her name is Christina Cuffee. (I may have the spelling incorrect.)I have yet to find her and we would apppreciate any responses if you know her or how to contact her. I will check this periodically and keep my fingers crosses.
Thanks so much!
