So Richard Nixon considered Pierre Elliott Trudeau ''an asshole'' and ''a pompous egghead'' (Profanity And Paranoia On Record In Oval Office - Dec. 8). Anyone who disagreed with Tricky Dick merited the first description. On the second count, Mr. Nixon was probably right. And how we long for that egghead in today's political atmosphere of Philistines and pap.
