Re Reversal Of Fortune Leaves Kabul Under Taliban's Thumb (Oct. 14): If, as Graeme Smith suggests, only one road ''serves as the only genuinely safe passage'' out of Kabul, isn't it high time to take that one thoroughfare and leave Afghanistan?
